Dr. Bonnie Rubien

Dr. Bonnie Rubien is a Certified School Psychologist.  Her experience includes working in early childhood settings, public schools, private/special education schools and private practice.  She offers psychological evaluations that are holistic, with consideration of and sensitivity to the interrelatedness of social, emotional, behavioral and educational influences.  

​Dr. Rubien offers therapeutic strategies, directly with children and/or in consultation with parents to foster problem-solving, resiliency and emotional well-being. 

She has experience collaborating with school personnel and service providers to optimize learning experiences for children.

​As a Yoga teacher and longtime yoga practitioner, Dr. Rubien recognizes the benefits of mindfulness in the practice of psychology and its positive effects with children and their families.  She is a member of the American Psychological Association and Specialists of Schools.  Dr. Rubien attended an APA-approved doctoral program and continues to engage in her own learning to enhance her practice skills and knowledge.
